I need an easy way of turning up the heating for an hour when the other half says it's cold (!).

So I've written this macro that puts the user offset up by 3 degrees (forcing the heating on) then an hour later it removes the 3 degrees, returning the heating profile to normal. I'm then going to run the macro either via a spare button or a IR remote control etc..

It seems to work when I test it, but the things I'm confused by are the values, only via trial and error have I got to 21.50 (this is the 3 degrees increase from 0) then 15.50 (takes it back down to 0).

So am I doing it wrong, is there a better way to achieve what I went? Any suggestions please?

So reverted to a BDR relay for the boiler and have selected Partial Load Scaling which seems to work OK, albeit the boiler temp is static at 65c. Is it OK to add in the IFOS weather compensation to the Baxi or would the reduced CH flow temperature upset the logic used by Evohome in their partial load scaling?

If I set Eco mode on the controller it operates properly and reduces the set temperatures. If I then open the app it shows the set back temperatures but does not show the system is in Eco mode. The only way to cancel Eco mode from the app is to set it from the app and then cancel it from the app.

This is a problem when I set Eco mode because I am away for a few hours but want to cancel it before I get home so that the house is up to temperature when I get home.

I have tried resetting by removing power (batteries) from the controller untill I get a loss of comms email, then powering back up, but the problem remains. I have also tried the app from another phone but no different. Have you found a way of getting a UPS to shutdown your Cortex PC in an elegant away i.e saving the database before closing Cortex, then shutting down the PC?

If so please tell me how.

The batteries were “lowish” so I replaced them - the fault persisted. The only other “fix” I have tried is to rebind the HR92 to the controller - successfully.

The HR92 in question is clearly communicating with the controller and the app.

Where now? Is there anything else I can do, or do I have to fit a new HR92?
